The 30-day window to file an appeal to the Cook County Assessor’s office for properties in Evanston Township is open through Monday, June 7. This is the third year of the current three-year assessment period.

Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin encourages residents to reach out to his office if they believe their property is still over assessed and would like to appeal.

There are three opportunities to file an appeal for your property taxes. First, a property owner can file an appeal to the Cook County Assessor’s Office. Second, to the Cook County Board of Review. Third, to either the Cook County Circuit Court or the Property Tax Appeal Board.
